Engine:
The engine in this car is a EJ22 2.2.L Petrol, it came from a 1997 Subaru Liberty.
This engine has been extremely reliable, i have driven the car down the coast a few times without a problem from it. If you are serious on driving any distance you need a newer engine than the old kombi motors as they aren't as reliable as the newer Subaru engines. This engine is a Boxer so the cylinders fire horizontally. The engine has 100KW from new. The radiator is under mounted with a scoop, it is a large system and I haven't had any problems with the engine overheating.
Gearbox:
The gearbox was replaced 4 years ago with a reconditioned box, this box won't give you any problems for many years to come.
Paint:
The car was resprayed 4 years ago. There is rust bubbles coming through in various locations. I was quoted around $2k to repair all the rust.
Towbar and bullbar:
A towbar with all electrics has been installed, and a custom white bullbar on the front.
Review Camera:
A review camera has been installed and it is integrated into the review mirror. The camera was an excellent addition removing all blind spots from the rear of the van.
Interior:
The dash on this van was resprayed white, so it stands out from the common black dashs in most other kombis.
The speedo is a rare speedo from the delux model of kombis, this speedo has a inbuilt trip.
The seats are after market and extremely comfortable. I get lower back pains from driving other cars after around an hour of driving, but i have driven this car for 5-6hours straight without any pain.
The stereo is a JL audio system with an Alpine head unit (bluetooth). There is 2 6.5inch splits in the front and 2 12inch subs in the rear to really give the audio a good boost.
It also has a 3-way fridge which operates very poorly, this fridge will need maintenance. I have had it serviced twice and it still operates at around 10c.
The interior was re-done but not 100% complete. it has a 3/4 rock n roll bed, and plenty of storage space. There is 200ah of battery installed in the rear with a 1200w 12v-240v inverter.
for the pop top the rear springs are stiff, so it will require attention. The van is currently located in Maroochydore QLD
