SOLD! - This is Astro our 1972 VW Kombi lowlight campervan for sale. Astro is in great condition for his age. He is very straight with hardly any rust. He has clearly been well looked after in the 40 years of his life.

Astro would make a very simple and cheap restoration project as there is hardly any rust in him and all the panels are quite straight. With new paint he would look fantastic.

Mechanically he is in good order and will come with a NSW roadworthy (Blue Slip) so all you need to do is add registration. He has the 1600 engine which was standard on the 72 model so can be a little underpowered at times, but fortunately he is the only year of lowlight that can easily be fitted with an 1800 or 2L engine which we would be happy to arrange for a prospective purchaser.

The interior is in good condition a 3/4 rock-n-roll bed and room for you to fit a new camper interior. The poptop roof and canvas are in good working condtion.

You can use Astro as your daily driver or with a bit of love he will be a real beauty.
