Check out Olivia. She is all ready to go and is looking for a new loving home. We purchased this recently from Victoria where it had only just run out of rego earlier this year. Prior to this she had been used regularly so there won't be any problems that you might have with ones that have been off the road for years.
As with all our Kombis, we like to source ones that are nice and solid with minimal rust as rust repairs are always the most costly part of any restoration. What minimal rust was in Olivia we have had professionally welded, repaired and rust treated prior to painting.
As for the mechanicals, we have checked it all out and everything is in good working order. As with all our Kombis we give them a service and a once over before they leave so generally, you should just have to keep up with your maintenance and repairs and you should be good for many years.
If you are wanting to personalise your Kombi and make it your own, then you can always do some work on the interior. The canvas is fairly good, but you might want to replace it, maybe with one of the cool striped ones that are all the rage at the moment. The seats are reasonable but you could reupholster those if you wanted and replace the curtains to give it your personal touch. Other than that, Olivia is all ready for you to take and use on a daily basis or for camping trips.
